The Newman Center has two Sunday Masses each week specifically for the students of The George Washington University. The 5:00pm Mass is held in Hand Chapel on the Mount Vernon Campus. A 7:30pm Mass is said each Sunday at St. Stephen-Martyr Catholic Church on Pennsylvania Avenue.

As part of these Student Masses, students play an important role in all parts of the Mass. We will provide training for any student interested in getting involved. Once trained, you will be placed into our weekly ministry schedule. Roles in which you can get involved include:

• Readers
• Altar Servers
• Ushers
• Eucharistic Ministers
• Choir Members
• Instrumentalists

Getting involved in the student liturgies is a great way to become a part of the Newman Center family and get more out of the Sunday Mass. If you have any questions or would like to get involved, don't be afraid to ask!
