The Newman Center is GW's Catholic community. This family and its townhouse are kept running by the very people who "live" there — the students. We also have a chaplain and a campus minister. You can find out a little about them, as well as how to contact them, by clicking below:

In their own words...

"During my freshman year, the Newman Center was one of the main constants in my life at GW. It was comforting to know that there was at least one open door on campus to a place of familiarity and a community of faithful. I am grateful for all that the Newman Center has already offered me, from weekly student mass to alternative spring break and Catholic Daughters. I am certain that this is a place where I will practice and explore my faith for the next few years."
—Meg Masciola, Class of 2010

"From Tuesday Dinners, to Mass, to Catholic Daughters, and to Alternative Spring Break, I feel more grounded because of the Newman Center. It is an outlet that renews and and restores my faith by showing me time and again what it means to live with Christ and for Christ."
—Michelle Huntley, Class of 2008
"The friendships that I have formed through the Newman Center are irreplacable. Being bonded to other students through our similar faith is something of great value to me, and the Newman Center is the perfect place to facilitate that connection!"
—Megan Lehnerd, Class of 2008

"Not only have I developed strong friendships that I think will last even after I move on from GW, the Newman Center has also brought me to heights in my faith life that I have never seen before."
—Andy Bergbauer, Class of 2009
